A Perfect Trampoline Jump

about

Madrid based Autumn Comets' new album: A PERFECT TRAMPOLINE JUMP, offers firm strokes of rock, intimate moments of folk to float in and vibrant progressions which will make you leap and feel uplifted. Autumn Comets have been preparing themselves with a Demo and a self-produced album: PARADES (2009), reaching maturity for this dive. A maturity which shows in their refined sound: vibrant American rock and post-rock with a touch of folk.

In A PERFECT TRAMPOLINE JUMP there's room for a piercing catchy single such as I can't solve your
problems anymore (which you can't help but hum since the first time you listen to it) but also for
whispering smoky songs such as Useless, featuring Russian Red, and an impressive cover of M.I.A's
Paper Planes. Autumn Comets do not Delay, and the third track they deliver is a gem: The day after
tomorrow, first class indie rock featuring Micah P. Hinson, with just the right amount of energy and
melancholy. Welcome Home leaves no doubt about their skill for moving, exciting progressions, pleasant
down-tempo and a sudden end. But there is also room for the strength and nerve of True Story and the
hurtful tale told by the viola in The Captain Is Awake, which brings the album to an end. In 56 minutes
the band from Madrid state their intentions, without hiding their affinity with Wilco or Death Cab for Cutie,
while showing their versatility, honesty and talent. In order to do so, the six-piece use an array of instruments: 2 guitars, drums, viola, mandolin, keyboards, metallophones and a melodica.
